Registered Nurse Lead - Transport Air

Responsibilities

• Maintains proper staffing and ensures smooth operations of a patient care unit.
• Coaches and counsels individual team members, monitors and provides feedback on performance, and addresses training needs.
• Documents daily staffing, operational, and administrative records while maintaining compliance with governmental policies and procedures.
• Provides direction and support to nursing staff, fostering respect for the dignity and rights of every patient, and assists with communications between patients and families.
• Allocates team resources responsibly and equitably, delegates appropriate levels of responsibility and authority, and provides oversight and guidance.
• Mediates and resolves conflicts among individuals, groups, and departments.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred
• 2 years of clinical patient care experience in a relevant setting
• RN License in state of employment or compact
• BLS required
• A current ACLS certification required
• A current PALS certification required
• A current NRP certification required
• A current STABLE certification required

Qualifications

• Completion of all annual competency verification requirements
• New nurses must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire
• Must have attended RN Residency or recently practiced in an acute care setting
• Must have at least one year of acute care clinical experience in a similar service line within the past three years
