Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, Full Time, Night Shift

Role Overview Provides unit-based leadership, collaborating with nursing staff, physicians, and management to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care. Supervises and directs nursing and ancillary personnel, utilizing professional judgment to optimize patient outcomes and safety. Participates in developing care plans, conducting rounds, and addressing patient and family needs to enhance satisfaction. Ensures compliance with safety standards, quality measures, and hospital policies through active involvement in performance improvement initiatives. Manages staffing based on patient acuity, assigns duties, evaluates performance, and facilitates staff development. Oversees department maintenance, equipment safety, and environmental cleanliness to support operational efficiency. Supports staff scheduling, handles personnel issues, and assists in hiring and disciplinary actions. Maintains documentation and communicates unit activities to leadership. Ensures staffing costs are controlled and promotes a safe, effective work environment. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s Degree in nursing or equivalent; Master’s preferredRegistered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practiceSupervisory experience requiredCertifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, Fetal Heart Monitoring; CPR certification preferredStrong leadership, communication, and clinical skills
