Registered Nurse - Intermediate Care Unit

About the role

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care using evidence-based practices and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Assess: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical, social, and psychological status, incorporating input from team members, patients, and families.
• Plan: Develop individualized care plans with active involvement from patients, families, and healthcare teams, including education and follow-up support.
• Implement: Coordinate and delegate care to the interdisciplinary team, ensuring delivery aligns with established guidelines, while managing resources effectively.
• Evaluate: Monitor patient responses, outcomes, and satisfaction, adjusting care plans as needed.
• Professionalism: Uphold legal and ethical standards, ensure accurate documentation, and promote professional growth.

Qualifications & Skills

• Current RN license in the practice state, with valid compact license transfers if applicable.
• BSN required within four years if less than 12 months of experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Skills in patient care, interdisciplinary teamwork, documentation, communication, and critical thinking.

Physical & Other Requirements

• Ability to see, read, communicate clearly, and manipulate equipment with manual dexterity.
• Capability to lift, transfer, and transport patients and supplies, often in busy environments.
• May involve prolonged standing, walking, and driving as needed.
