About the role

Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center in Williamsburg, Virginia is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Acute Cardiac/Stroke Unit. The unit provides specialized care for patients with a wide range of cardiac conditions and manages pre- and post-catheterization patients, as well as those experiencing acute stroke. The position is full-time, night shift, with hours from 6:45P to 7:15A and a rotating weekend schedule.

A sign-on bonus of up to $20,000 is available for qualified candidates. Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center has 145 licensed beds, features the latest healthcare technologies, and has achieved Magnet recognition for excellence in nursing.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse is responsible for performing a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. This includes assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care, teaching, and health promotion, as well as evaluation.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma from an accredited Registered Nursing Program
• BSN or MSN preferred
• BLS within 90 days of hire
• Critical Care/IMCU ACLS within 1 year of hire
• NIH within 1 year of hire

Acute care nursing experience is preferred, with a background in Stroke or Telemetry also preferred. New Grad RNs are welcome to apply.
