Registered Nurse - Intermediate Stepdown

About the Role

This position involves providing holistic patient care in a General Surgery & Trauma setting during night shifts. The nurse will develop personalized care plans, monitor clinical conditions, and ensure safe, evidence-based treatment. They will serve as the primary care coordinator, facilitating seamless communication among multidisciplinary teams, advocating for patients, and accurately translating physician orders into bedside actions. Additionally, they will assess and coordinate discharge needs to support patients and families beyond hospitalization.

Responsibilities

• Execute personalized care plans and monitor clinical conditions
• Lead multidisciplinary team efforts and ensure effective communication
• Champion patient advocacy and uphold clinical protocols
• Coordinate patient discharge processes and support transition home

Qualifications & Skills

• Licensure as a Registered Nurse from the Kansas Board of Nursing
• Diploma from an accredited nursing program or equivalent licensure
• BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
