Responsibilities

• Practice professional nursing under the supervision of a licensed registered nurse.
• Deliver safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care.
• Remain directly responsible and accountable for the care of assigned patients.
• Communicate with physicians about changes in patient’s clinical condition, including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic study results, and symptomatology.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition and/or response to treatment.

The Interim Permit Registered Nurse must take the NCLEX-RN within three months of receipt of the permit, as the State Board of Nursing grants only a 90-day permit. The temporary Interim Permit will expire immediately upon notification of NCLEX examination results, and the individual will no longer be eligible to work without a Registered Nurse license.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Current Interim Permit from the Nevada State Board of Nursing.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.

Full Time, Day Shift.
