About the role
This nursing position involves providing specialized, patient-centered care in a fast-paced, technically demanding environment. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver age-appropriate, quality care, utilizing the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Responsibilities
- Provide direct and indirect patient care according to standards and policies
- Supervise team members and ensure a safe, therapeutic environment
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff
- Document patient information accurately and timely
- Administer medications and IV therapies safely
- Support patient education and promote a collaborative work environment
- Uphold hospital standards and contribute to continuous improvement
Qualifications & Skills
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school; BSN preferred
- Current nursing license in Texas
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum of 12 months critical care RN experience or ICU residency
- Knowledge of hospital policies, procedures, and care standards
- Ability to handle confidential information and work in a physically demanding environment
