Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit - Full-Time Nights
Role Overview
This registered nurse position involves providing highly technical, patient-centered care in a fast-paced, critical care environment. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver age/developmentally appropriate care, utilizing the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation). Your responsibilities include supervising team members, ensuring safe medication and IV administration, and maintaining clear communication with patients, families, and colleagues. You will be accountable for professional performance, seeking continuous improvement, and fostering a collaborative, therapeutic environment.
Qualifications & Skills
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school; BSN preferred
- Current nursing license in Texas
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum 12 months critical care RN experience or completion of an ICU Nurse Residency Program
- Knowledge of hospital policies, procedures, and nursing standards
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
