Role Overview

Seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a fast-paced, technically demanding ICU environment, providing high-quality, patient-centered care to critical patients. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, utilize the nursing process, and ensure safe medication administration. Your responsibilities include effective communication, building relationships, maintaining a therapeutic environment, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver direct and indirect patient care according to standards.
  • Supervise team members and coordinate with healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and safe medication practices.
  • Foster a collaborative, safe, and therapeutic environment.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and performance accountability.
  • Provide age-specific, developmentally appropriate care.
  • Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and care standards.
  • Maintain safety in hazardous and demanding physical environments.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
  • Current Texas RN license, BLS, and ACLS certifications.
  • Minimum of 12 months critical care experience or ICU residency.
  • Knowledge of hospital protocols, confidentiality, and teamwork.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and technical skills.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • Standing, moving, bending, reaching, and handling for majority of shift.
  • Exposure to blood, body fluids, skin, and allergic irritants.
  • Use of electrical equipment, sharp instruments, and manual lifting.
  • Indoor setting with various physical and environmental demands.
