Registered Nurse - Inpatient Psychiatry

About the Role

Provide evidence-based pediatric behavioral health care in an inpatient psychiatry unit, supporting a therapeutic environment that promotes patient safety and well-being.

Responsibilities

• Perform assessments, care planning, medication administration, and crisis intervention for pediatric patients.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, and therapists to ensure comprehensive patient support.
• Manage a safe milieu, educate families, and assist with discharge planning.
• Deliver compassionate, evidence-based care to children and adolescents with mental health needs.
• Participate in a multidisciplinary team to support patient recovery and family involvement.
• Contribute to a mission-driven setting focused on mental health and patient outcomes.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse license.
• Experience or knowledge in pediatric behavioral health preferred.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and crisis management skills.
• Ability to work in a teaching environment with ongoing training and growth opportunities.
