Registered Nurse Inpatient Pediatrics

About the role

Nursing care is provided in accordance with hospital policies and procedures, applicable state Nursing Practice Acts, ANA Standards of Practice, and the generic and unit structure standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and provides patient care
• Assumes individual responsibility and accountability for the provision of nursing care
• Provides care to pediatric patients between birth through 17 years of age
• Schedule: Full-time Nights (7p-7a) plus rotating weekends
• Unit: close-knit, collaborative environment; skill growth opportunities leading into NICU; supportive leadership

Requirements

• Graduate of school of nursing required
• BSN preferred
• Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation
• BLS (American Heart Association) on hire, PALS certifications within 6 months of hire
• 1 year minimum nursing experience required
• Previous clinical experience in area of specialty preferred
