Registered Nurse Inpatient II - Nebraska Spine Hospital

Responsibilities

• Achieve patient safety and quality of care through adherence to policies and procedures.
• Assess patient status, monitor vital signs, and interpret monitor data.
• Develop and implement individualized patient plans of care.
• Provide acute pain and comfort management as needed.
• Administer medications safely and correctly.
• Maintain patient safety by protecting from injury and managing infections.
• Communicate patient status and provide education on care.
• Document care accurately and complete hand-offs to other team members.
• Delegate tasks effectively and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Evaluate patient progress and transfer care as necessary.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and performance appraisals.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• One year of acute care and/or medical/surgical nursing experience preferred.
• Current state licensure to practice within good standing.
• Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS) or Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).
• Successful completion of Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Course.
• Successful completion of Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) course.
