About the role

This position is for a registered nurse providing direct patient care across various inpatient units, including specialized areas such as Coronary Care, Oncology, Trauma, Neuroscience, and Surgical Units. The nurse will collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans, assist with procedures, administer medications, and ensure patient safety.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care to diverse patient populations, including neonates to geriatrics.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and document care plans.
  • Assist with tests, procedures, and emergency interventions while ensuring proper documentation and patient consent.
  • Participate in orientation and precept new staff, contributing to a positive work environment.
  • Maintain accurate medical records, administer medications, and ensure a safe and therapeutic environment.
  • Promote patient safety through adherence to policies, proactive reporting, and patient engagement.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Current RN license in the state or reciprocal agreement.
  • CPR/BLS certification; IV verification within six months.

Preferred Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing.
  • Bilingual skills.
  • Specialty certifications.

Work Environment & Conditions

The role involves working in a high-acuity, sometimes hazardous environment, requiring physical exertion and adherence to safety protocols. Both day and night shifts are available, with differential pay options.
