About the role

7 North Cardiology Stepdown and Intermediate Care Unit at UAB St. Vincent's East. 23-bed specialized cardiac stepdown unit caring for patients post-structural cardiac procedures and those with primary cardiac diagnoses such as chest pain, arrhythmias, and heart failure.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care
• Implement care plans
• Coordinate multidisciplinary efforts
• Assess discharge needs

Qualifications

• Active RN license
• BLS certification within 30 days
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program

Skills

• BCLS and ACLS-certified
• ECG interpretation
• Telemetry and medication management
• Teamwork and adaptability
• Swift decision-making

7:00 PM to 7:00 AM on weekends
