Registered Nurse - Inpatient Cardiology - Weekend Option

Position Overview Department: 7 North Cardiology Stepdown and Intermediate Care UnitWork Location: UAB St. Vincent's EastShift: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM on weekends We are a 23-bed specialized cardiac stepdown unit caring for patients post-structural cardiac procedures and those with primary cardiac diagnoses such as chest pain, arrhythmias, and heart failure. Staff are BCLS and ACLS-certified, trained in ECG interpretation, and skilled in telemetry and medication management. The role involves providing direct nursing care, implementing care plans, coordinating multidisciplinary efforts, and assessing discharge needs. Candidates must hold an active RN license, BLS certification within 30 days, and have graduated from an accredited nursing program. The position emphasizes teamwork, adaptability, and swift decision-making to ensure optimal patient care.
