Registered Nurse - Weekend Option
About the role
The Observation unit at Northwest Hospital is a 20-bed unit that cares for a diverse mix of diagnoses, with most patients staying less than 24 hours. Nurses specialize in telemetry, stroke, and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS). Under the direction of the unit manager, this role provides direct clinical patient care, including assessing, planning, and implementing age-appropriate care on a per-shift basis. The role also supervises staff to ensure appropriate care delegation and supports the CNO in maintaining high-quality, safe, and resource-efficient nursing care, as well as staff competency.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, and implement direct clinical care for assigned patients.
- Provide age-appropriate care on a per-shift and unit level.
- Supervise staff to ensure appropriate care delegation.
- Support the CNO in ensuring high-quality, safe, and resource-efficient nursing care.
- Uphold competency standards for clinical staff.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse License (essential).
- Less than one year of experience (essential).
Pay
$37.15 to $57.58 per hour, based on experience.
