Registered Nurse - IMC Step-down - Full Time

About the Role

A registered nurse responsible for providing independent and comprehensive patient care in a clinical setting, demonstrating clinical competence, and managing contingencies effectively.

Responsibilities

• Deliver routine and complex nursing care using the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Administer medications and treatments following protocols; monitor for side effects and effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately.
• Assess learning needs and educate patients, families, and caregivers, identifying issues and available resources.
• Delegate tasks appropriately to team members to support clinical management.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Minimum one year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred.
• Current RN license in the state of employment or via a compact license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
• Completion of all annual competency requirements.
• Participation in orientation and residency programs for new or transitioning nurses.
• Knowledge of and adherence to organizational and professional standards of practice.
