Registered Nurse - Imaging Services (PT - Rotating) - Abington

About the role

This role supports Jefferson Health's outpatient imaging sites and involves evening contrast reaction coverage, rotational Saturday shifts, and on-call duties.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with co-workers, patients, and their family/designated care partners consistently with Jefferson's values.
• Collaborates with patients and their family/designated care partners to identify learning needs and priorities, and educates them about their health and care.
• Ensures patient safety by following established nursing practices and protocols, minimizing risks of harm.
• Communicates using evidence-based practice, clinical expertise, and respects patients' cultural beliefs and values.
• Participates in on-call coverage as needed.

Requirements

• Specialized Diploma from an accredited school of nursing.
• Experience as an RN in an acute care setting preferred.
• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• Lifts and carries up to 50 lbs. frequently.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) or completion of BSN or appropriate advanced degree within 3 years of hire, preferred.
• One year previous experience as an RN in an acute care setting, preferred.

Skills

Knowledge of patient-and-family centered care, cultural awareness, effective communication, medication administration, discharge planning, assessment and diagnosis, and health information documentation.
