Registered Nurse III, Acute Care - Medical Clinic

Responsibilities

• Delivers safe patient care utilizing the nursing process.
• Affirms patient-centered care and supports interdisciplinary teamwork.
• Ensures compliance with applicable standards, regulations, and laws.
• Serves as a resource for other staff and clinicians as required.
• Coordinates and integrates nursing care with other healthcare providers.
• Directs and supervises patient care provided by LPNs and support personnel.
• Advocates for patients to ensure their autonomy, dignity, and rights are preserved.
• Participates in quality improvement processes and nursing research.

Requirements

• 2 year / Associate degree in Nursing, required or Vocational / Technical Diploma Professional Nursing Program, required or 4 year / Bachelor's degree in Nursing, preferred.
• Minimum 3 years Registered Nurse Experience, 1 year must have been in a relevant practice area, required.
• Previous experience as a charge nurse/leadership role, preferred.
• Current NYS license as a Registered Nurse, required.
• BLS certification will be required within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Acquires and maintains current knowledge and skills in his or her area of practice.
• Completes required unit credentialing and provides documentation to supervisor.
• Participates in educational activities and provides documentation of attendance or activity to supervisor.
• Demonstrates clinical problem-solving ability through written exemplars, patient/family feedback, co-worker reports, and direct managerial observations.
• Participates in nursing research and collaborates with senior nurses to use research findings in clinical practice.

Additionally, there is a sign-on bonus available for this position. The bonus amounts are based on the position type and are listed below:

• RN (excluding management): $20,000 for full time
• LNP: $10,000 for full time

Pay

Pay range for this position is based on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards. The pay range minimum is USD $43.48/Hr. and the maximum is USD $64.23/Hr.
