Registered Nurse II - Full Time - Days

Role Overview: The Staff RN is a professional caregiver responsible for a designated group of patients, ensuring the delivery of safe, efficient, and high-quality care tailored to the specific age group served. They coordinate and implement patient care plans by assessing biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, and educational needs of patients and families. Additionally, they perform preoperative interviews, collect data, obtain consent, and collaborate with the healthcare team to support surgical procedures and patient education. Key Responsibilities Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plansConduct preoperative interviews and gather pertinent medical dataObtain and initiate preoperative orders; identify issues and take appropriate actionsObtain consent and address concerns with patients and familiesCollaborate with admitting, case management, and other team membersProvide education related to surgical procedures and self-care Qualifications & Skills Current RN license in CaliforniaBLS certification; ACLS within 3 months of hire (if applicable)Excellent customer service skillsExperience preferred; new graduates and re-entry nurses must complete a specialized orientation programAdditional education requirements include annual stroke and orthopedic education for specific units Key Attributes: Strong clinical skills, patient-centered focus, teamwork, and adherence to safety standards.
