About the role
We are seeking a registered nurse to provide patient care in a Med Surg unit, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, and evaluate care for adult patients with diverse medical conditions.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and maintain professional accountability
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Evaluate the care provided by team members and maintain patient rights and confidentiality
- Perform duties aligned with organizational standards and values
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program (Associate, Diploma, or BSN)
- Current RN license in Missouri or valid compact license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire
Preferred
- Prior hospital experience
- BSN
- Additional certifications
- Specialty experience
Skills & Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs, stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to perform physical tasks including reaching, bending, and twisting
