Registered Nurse II, Acute Care - Recovery

Responsibilities

• Delivers safe patient care utilizing the nursing process.
• Affords consideration of safety, effective utilization of equipment and materials, and cost in managing patient care.
• Directs and supervises patient care provided by LPNs and support personnel 100% of the time according to department guidelines.
• Advocates for patients to ensure that care preserves and protects the patient’s autonomy, dignity and rights.
• Participates in quality improvement processes for the department and institution as assigned.
• Participates in nursing research.
• Partners with senior nurses to use research findings in clinical practice.
• Helps to identify clinical problems requiring investigation.

Requirements

• Current NYS license as a Registered Nurse, required.
• BLS certification will be required within 6 months.
• License/ Certification Other certifications may be needed based on department requirements.

Qualifications

• 2 year / Associate Degree in Nursing, required or...
• Vocational / Technical Diploma Professional Nursing Program, required or...
• 4 year / Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, preferred.

Pay

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.

Schedule

Medium Work - Exerting up to 50 lbs. for force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force constantly to move objects.

Total Rewards

• Sign-on bonuses for RN (excluding management): $20,000 for full time
• Sign-on bonuses for LPN: $10,000 for full time
