Registered Nurse - ICU (Part-Time)

Role Overview

We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) specialized in ICU and Telemetry for per diem hospital assignments in Halifax, VA. This role offers flexible scheduling with options for day and night shifts, allowing nurses to choose shifts that suit their lifestyle.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality care in an acute-care hospital setting
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and responses
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and operate specialized equipment
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records
• Follow infection-control standards and safety protocols
• Educate patients and families on treatment and discharge instructions
• Demonstrate professionalism and adaptability in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications & Skills

• Active Virginia RN license
• Minimum of one year recent ICU or Telemetry experience within the past two years
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test completed within the past 12 months
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption
• Additional credentials may be required based on facility needs
