About the role
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in ICU or Telemetry, providing per diem hospital care in Halifax, VA.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, safe patient care in an acute-care setting.
- Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and responses to treatments.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered.
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and operate specialized equipment.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams.
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records and follow safety protocols.
- Educate patients and families about care plans and discharge instructions.
- Demonstrate professionalism and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
Qualifications & Skills
- Active Virginia RN license.
- At least one year of recent ICU or Telemetry experience within the past two years.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association.
- Recent QuantiFERON-TB Gold test results.
- COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.
Key Duties
- Providing acute care, medication administration, patient monitoring, collaboration with healthcare teams, accurate documentation, and patient education, all while adhering to hospital policies and safety standards.
