Registered Nurse - Home Health

About the role

We are hiring skilled Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for home care visits in the Greater Portage (Kalamazoo County) and surrounding areas. We accept part-time nurses who commit to at least 30 visits per month.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one care to patients in their homes
• Coordinate with other members of the Home Health Team
• Offer wound care services including Wound Vacs, Drains, Tubes, Ostomies, Traches, Catheters, Infusions, and LVADs
• Conduct one-on-one education sessions with patients and their caregivers
• Work independently and holistically with each patient

Requirements

• Current Michigan RN or LPN license
• One year of Home Health nursing experience preferred
• Updated TB test and current CPR certification
• Criminal history and drug screen clearance
• Compassionate and caring demeanor
• Professional presentation
• Travel within the service area (approx. 30 miles from home)
• Critical thinking and task competence

Qualifications

Experienced in OASIS and able to perform tasks related to wound care and other medical needs.

Skills

Strong communication and critical thinking skills, along with the ability to handle unexpected situations effectively.
