Registered Nurse Geriatrics/Pulmonary, Full Time, Day

To fulfill the needs of patients in a variety of age groups, their family members, and the community by performing varied patient care tasks and functions in accordance with licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform varied patient care tasks in accordance with licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements
• Physically assist patients, requiring stretching, bending, lifting, sitting, kneeling, stooping, standing, walking, pushing, and pulling
• Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills, including speech clarity and understanding relayed information
• Apply deductive and inductive reasoning skills to problem-solving
• Perform work accurately and pay attention to details while managing multiple tasks
• Function competently in stressful situations and changing work environments related to patient needs
• Work cooperatively within a multidisciplinary health system team
• Utilize effective time management skills to set priorities and deliver care

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required
• Current/valid State of New Jersey RN license (or legal permission to work from the New Jersey Board of Nursing)
• CPR certification
• 1 year of Staff RN experience
• 1 year of Cardiac experience
• Computer and keyboard skills
• Medical terminology proficiency

• Full range of body motion (stretching, bending, lifting, sitting, kneeling, stooping, standing, walking, pushing, pulling)
• Classified as Very Heavy Work: exerting in excess of 100 pounds occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, and 20 pounds constantly
• Manual and finger dexterity, hand-eye coordination

• Considerable walking, standing, sitting, reaching, filing, typing, and photocopying

Schedule

7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, with weekend and holiday rotations.

Pay

Pay Range: $47.80 - $59.75 per hour. Actual individual salaries vary depending on role, experience, education, and licensure.
