REGISTERED NURSE (FULL TIME NIGHTS) PEDIATRICS ICU
Summerlin Hospital is a 496-bed facility offering emergency services, a busy maternity department with an average of 450 deliveries per month, a Children’s Medical Center with a NICU, pediatric ICU, and separate pediatric ER, advanced cardiovascular care, surgical services, women’s health, and oncology care. The hospital is an accredited Chest Pain with PCI facility, a Primary Stroke Center, and has received multiple awards from the American Heart Association Get with the Guidelines program.

Responsibilities
- Provide safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy.
- Provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
- Base all nursing care on the concepts of Patient Centered Care.
- Oversee and guide employees under your supervision.
- Demonstrate Service Excellence standards at all times.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing and completion of a Specialty course or equivalent within 6 months of hire (BSN preferred).
- One-year acute care experience or successful completion of an approved specialty course within 6 months of hire.
- Current RN license in the State of Nevada.
- Current BLS Certification.
- Current ACLS Certification (adult patients), PALS Certification (pediatric patients), or NRP Certification (Neonatal patients) as required by department.
- Other certifications as required by facility, specialty, or department.
- Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.
An RN graduate is a nurse who has completed a course of study at a school of nursing and is eligible for the NCLEX. The RN graduate performs under the direct supervision of the Charge Nurse or RN designee, and the Nevada State Board of Nursing must grant an interim RN license.
