About the role

The Valley Health System (VHS) is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join their dedicated team at Summerlin Hospital. Summerlin Hospital is a 496-bed facility with a variety of specialties including emergency services, maternity care, children's medical center, cardiovascular care, surgical services, women’s health, and oncology.

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy.
  • Provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
  • Oversee and guide employees that are under his/her supervision.
  • Demonstrate Service Excellence standards at all times.

Qualifications

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing and completion of a Specialty course/ or equivalent within 6 months of hire. BSN preferred.
  • Experience: One-year acute care experience or successful completion of an approved specialty course within 6 months of hire.
  • Licenses/Certifications: Current RN license in the State of Nevada. Current BLS Certification. Current ACLS Certification (adult patients), current PALS Certification (pediatric patients) or current NRP Certification (Neonatal patients) as required by department. Other certifications as may be required by facility, specialty, or department.
  • Other: Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.
