Registered Nurse - Float

About the Role

Provides direct nursing care across multiple departments including Emergency, Med/Surg, ICU, and Family Birth in a float capacity.

Responsibilities

• Utilize medical-surgical nursing standards to enhance patient care and quality of life.
• Develop individualized care plans and evaluate outcomes.
• Establish strong relationships with patients and families, and advocate for their needs.
• Collaborate with interprofessional teams to coordinate care.
• Educate patients on health measures and apply evidence-based practices.
• Foster a positive work environment through mentorship.
• Perform assessments, implement interventions, and ensure safe practice at all times.
• Conduct point-of-care testing and perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• 1-2 years of RN experience in critical care preferred.
• Knowledge of the nursing process and strong clinical skills.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and cultural sensitivity skills.
• Physical ability to perform frequent lifting, standing, and movement.
• Valid RN license and BLS certification in relevant states.
