About the role
Seeking a registered nurse for night shifts to provide direct patient care in a critical care, emergency, or labor and delivery setting.
Responsibilities
- Apply medical-surgical nursing standards to enhance patient care and quality of life.
- Build effective relationships with patients, families, and the healthcare team to develop personalized care plans.
- Utilize the nursing process for assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Consider physical, cultural, social, and emotional factors in patient management.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to assess needs, set goals, and evaluate outcomes.
- Communicate effectively for culturally sensitive, ethical, and compassionate care.
- Educate patients and families on health maintenance and comfort measures.
- Mentor colleagues and apply evidence-based practices in medical-surgical nursing.
- Perform point-of-care testing and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- One to two years of nursing experience, preferably in critical care or emergency settings.
- Current RN licensure and BLS certification.
Physical requirements
- Standing, walking, lifting, reaching, and sensory acuity.
