Registered Nurse - Flex Unit

Role: Registered Nurse
Location: LOH Main - Naperville

Responsibilities

• Assess patient conditions, develop and implement care plans, document care, and evaluate outcomes.
• Welcome patients, promote a safe environment, assign rounds, and complete precaution records in real time.
• Collaborate with departments for patient admissions, transfers, and discharges, ensuring thorough handoffs.
• Interact with patients, families, and healthcare providers to gather and analyze data for comprehensive care planning, including psychosocial, environmental, and discharge needs.
• Participate in developing departmental goals, quality improvement, and professional development activities.
• Assist in hiring, orientation, and evaluation of staff; serve as a role model and resource for students.
• Attend training, explain policies, and engage with community groups to promote mental health awareness.
• Supervise direct patient care as needed, manage within budget constraints, and utilize resources effectively.

Qualifications

• Valid Illinois RN license and CPR certification.
• Preferred: One year psychiatric experience, knowledge of abnormal psychology, and understanding of therapeutic systems.
• Must maintain confidentiality and possess a nursing degree.
