About the Role
A Registered Nurse providing direct patient care in a psychiatric setting.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient conditions, develop and implement care plans, document care, and evaluate outcomes.
- Promote a safe, therapeutic environment.
- Collaborate on patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Participate in interdisciplinary planning and contribute to department goals.
- Supervise patient care and assist in staff orientation and training.
- Attend training sessions and serve as a role model.
- Engage with community groups to promote mental health awareness.
- Manage resources within budget and ensure compliance with policies.
- Evaluate program effectiveness.
Requirements
- Nursing degree.
- Current Illinois RN license.
- CPR certification.
- CPI certification within 90 days of hire.
Qualifications (Preferred)
- Psychiatric experience.
- Knowledge of abnormal psychology.
- Experience with therapeutic system management.
