Registered Nurse - Flex Unit

Role Overview: The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care in a mental health setting, assessing patient conditions, developing and implementing care plans, and evaluating outcomes. They promote a safe, therapeutic environment by supervising staff, ensuring timely documentation, and facilitating patient admissions, transfers, and discharges. Key Responsibilities: Assess patients' physical, psychosocial, and environmental needs, collaborating with healthcare teams for comprehensive treatment planning.Assist in developing department goals, participate in quality improvement, and contribute to staff training and orientation.Supervise direct patient care, manage resources within budget, and ensure compliance with policies and safety standards.Engage in ongoing professional development through in-service training and community outreach. Qualifications & Skills: Current Illinois RN license and CPR certification.Preferred psychiatric experience and knowledge of mental health principles.Strong communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills.Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to safety protocols.
