About the role

As a Registered Nurse Field Assessor (FA), you will complete Long Term Care insurance assessments. These hands-off assessments involve obtaining claimant demographics, physician information, a current medication list, and evaluating the claimant's functional level of independence. The assessment process also includes completing a brief cognitive screening and evaluating the claimant's ability to complete ADL and IADL tasks.

The ideal candidate will be technologically savvy and able to use a point-of-care web application/system on a laptop or tablet for real-time documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain claimant demographics, physician information, and a current medication list.
  • Evaluate the claimant's functional level of independence.
  • Complete a brief cognitive screening.
  • Evaluate the claimant's ability to complete ADL and IADL tasks.
  • Document assessments in real time using a point-of-care web application on a laptop or tablet.
  • Function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client.

Requirements

  • Current and unrestricted RN licensure in the state of practice.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.

Qualifications

Required

  • Proven ability to function in diverse home environments.

Preferred

  • 1+ years of RN experience.
  • Proven ability to work independently.
  • Strong communication, writing, and organizational skills.

Pay

Annual total cash target pay range: $71,677 - $107,516.

  • Per visit point rate: $41.35 - $62.03 (calculated by multiplying the per visit point rate by productivity points accrued for various types of visits).
  • Hourly rate: $34.46 - $51.69 (for non-visit activities such as orientation).

Annual total cash compensation assumes full-time employment (40 weekly hours) at full productivity and may vary based on local labor markets, education, work experience, and performance. Compensation includes earnings from per visit point pay and hourly pay and may increase over time based on productivity and performance.

Visits are assigned based on patient and business needs, and the number of visits performed each week will vary. Each type of visit is assigned a certain number of productivity points that include both "direct" and "indirect" patient care activities.
