Registered Nurse - ER

About the role

Stoughton Health has an excellent opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Services team on a Part-Time basis. The registered nurse position is responsible for providing professional nursing care to patients in assigned units. The RN maintains accountability for their own practice and delegates/provides direction to other nursing personnel in the unit in accordance with their level of experience and expertise.

Essential Functions

• Ability to perform essential functions of a registered nurse including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes, planning, and evaluation
• Effectively enhances the quality and effectiveness of nursing practices
• Maintains knowledge and competency that reflects current nursing practices
• Interacts with and contributes to the professional development of peers and colleagues
• Collaborates with patient, family, and others in the conduct of nursing practice
• Integrates research findings into clinical practice

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
• Graduate of an accredited school of registered nursing
• Currently licensed by the Board of Licensing and Regulation in the State of Wisconsin as a Registered Nurse in good standing
• Requires one year relevant nursing experience or supervisory recommendation
• Current BLS certification at hire
• ACLS certification within 90 days of hire
• NIH Stroke Scale certification within 90 days of hire
• PALS certification within 6 months of hire
• ENPC and TNCC certification preferred
• Non-violent crisis intervention or workplace violence training every two years on a rolling calendar

Skills

• Basic computer skills, including ability to open a document, change font, save a document, and write a letter using Microsoft Office Suite

Schedule

• Part-Time, 0.6 FTE (24 hours per week)
• Variable days
• Weekdays, 7:00 pm to 7:00 am
• Every 4th weekend
• Every 3rd holiday
