About the role
Join our team as a full-time, Night shift Emergency Room (ER) Charge Registered Nurse, responsible for managing shift operations and ensuring quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Overseeing shift management and monitoring care quality under the Nurse Manager's direction.
- Serving as a liaison, updating leadership on unit needs and major occurrences.
- Providing first-level supervision, assigning patients, and supporting nursing staff with clinical duties.
- Mentoring new staff and participating in performance reviews.
- Assessing patient and family needs, developing care plans, and revising them to meet diverse needs.
- Delegating care to optimize outcomes and adhering to the Kansas Nurse Practice Act.
- Performing clinical support tasks such as admissions, procedures, and problem-solving.
Qualifications And Skills
- 2-year degree and current Kansas RN licensure.
- BLS certification within 14 days of hire; ACLS certification as required by the unit.
- Preferred: 4-year degree and experience in a similar healthcare setting.
