Role Overview

Provides clinical leadership in an acute inpatient setting, ensuring patient-centered care through evidence-based nursing practices.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts comprehensive patient assessments, develops and updates individualized care plans, collaborates with the healthcare team, and sets measurable goals for patient outcomes.
  • Delivers direct patient care aligned with the nursing plan and delegates tasks appropriately.
  • Monitors care quality, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance (e.g., TJC, CMS, state laws).
  • Utilizes performance data to evaluate and improve care quality and outcomes.
  • Provides patient and family education, respecting cultural and spiritual beliefs, and ensures smooth discharge planning.
  • Maintains professional licensure, adheres to policies, and participates in professional development.
  • Acts as a patient advocate and collaborates with the healthcare team for coordinated care.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Associate degree in nursing (bachelor's preferred).
  • At least one year of RN experience or equivalent training such as a nurse residency or LPN experience.
  • Current RN license recognized by NCSBN Compact or licensed in the practicing state.
