Registered Nurse - Emergency Department (Nights)
About the role
Utilizes the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide safe, therapeutic care. Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary and nursing teams; carries out established nursing procedures and performs related duties as required; performs nursing care for patients with more complex needs with assistance and supervision. Assists with the management of patient care administered by other members of the nursing team.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process
- Provide safe, therapeutic nursing care
- Function as a member of the interdisciplinary and nursing teams
- Carry out established nursing procedures and perform related duties
- Provide nursing care for patients with more complex needs with assistance and supervision
- Assist with the management of patient care administered by other members of the nursing team
- Flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations
Requirements
- At least 3 years of recent RN experience in an Emergency Department (not in a floating capacity)
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California
- Current healthcare provider CPR certification
- Current healthcare provider PALS certification
- Current healthcare provider ACLS certification
Preferred Qualifications
- CEN, TNCC, or ATCN certification
- NIHSS certification
