Position Overview Department: Emergency DepartmentWork Location: Birmingham, AL Role: Provide direct nursing care following organizational policies, implementing and monitoring patient care plans, and coordinating multidisciplinary efforts for patient well-being. Assess discharge needs and communicate patient conditions effectively. Responsibilities Serve as primary coordinator for patient careFollow physician and nursing orders accuratelyMonitor, record, and communicate patient statusAssist with discharge planning in collaboration with healthcare team Qualifications Licensure as a Registered Nurse from the Alabama Board of NursingBasic Life Support (BLS) certification within 1 month of hireAdvanced Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 6 monthsMinimum of one year of critical care or emergency experience for certain roles Skills & Requirements: Strong clinical assessment, communication, and coordination skills; ability to follow protocols; adaptability to shift schedules.
