Registered Nurse - Emergency Department (Full Time, Night Shift)

About the role

This position involves delivering coordinated nursing care to patients, ensuring adherence to established standards and the nursing process. The nurse supervises and directs various levels of nursing staff, collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, and utilizes critical thinking and professional judgment to provide safe, effective care.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient health data, analyze findings, and develop care plans to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Implement and coordinate care strategies, promoting health and safety.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members to provide comprehensive care and education.
• Participate in discharge planning to ensure seamless patient transitions.
• Delegate tasks appropriately and supervise nursing staff.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support patient care and team objectives.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the practice state.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• ACLS and PALS certifications mandatory.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN).
• Preferred: experience in acute care settings.
