Registered Nurse - Emergency Department, Full-time Night Shift

About the Role

A registered nurse practicing independently in a clinical setting, providing routine and complex patient care while managing contingencies. Responsible for assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in accordance with professional standards. Delegates tasks appropriately to care team members to optimize patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care utilizing the nursing process, addressing patients' psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs.
• Administer medications and treatments following protocols, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately.
• Assess learning needs and educate patients, families, and caregivers, identifying issues and resources.
• Meet organizational competency expectations related to leadership and clinical practice.

Qualifications

• Preferred Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Minimum one year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred.
• Current RN license and BLS certification required.
• Additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, and TNCC are required within specified timeframes.
• Participation in orientation and competency validation programs essential.
