Registered Nurse/Educator, Full-Time Days, Endoscopy, Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center

Responsibilities

• Develops an action plan and coordinates new employee orientation.
• Mentors and monitors progress of new employees in theory and supervised practice.
• Provides ongoing development/continuing education.
• Completes 3-month probationary evaluations.
• Participates in special projects and assists in research and implementation of policies.
• Recognizes performance strengths and deficiencies and participates in professional activities.
• Develops and implements internship and special programs.
• Maintains records according to established policies.
• Provides consultation and education for medical staff and other allied professionals.
• Coordinates clinical assignments and serves as liaison between faculty and clinical site.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program.
• BSN.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• Minimum of 3 years nursing clinical practice.
• 1-2 years of endoscopy experience.

Qualifications

• BLS, ACLS, PALS preferred certifications.

Skills

• Utilizes adult learning theories.
• Uses NJSNA guidelines for major program development.
• Uses Microsoft Outlook, Power Point, and Word.
• Has extensive knowledge of Excel.
