Registered Nurse, Full-Time Days, Variable Shift, Endoscopy, Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center

About the role

Atlantic Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team. This position is responsible for performing patient assessments, identifying patient needs, planning and implementing care, evaluating outcomes, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Admits patients following proper identification procedures and performs comprehensive patient assessments.
• Analyzes assessment data to determine relevant patient diagnoses and collaborates with healthcare team members.
• Plans and implements nursing care according to ANA and SGNA Standards of Clinical Nursing Practice.
• Evaluates patient care interventions and revises plans as necessary.
• Documents patient care accurately and comprehensively.
• Collaborates with physicians and other specialists to optimize patient care.
• Ensures patient rights are respected and promotes a cooperative patient care environment.
• Provides patient education and orientations to new staff members.
• Maintains a safe and clean patient care environment and administers medications correctly.
• Anticipates and utilizes proper equipment and supplies for patient care.
• Participates in cost containment efforts and ensures accurate charting of procedures and charges.

Requirements

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
• 2-3 years of endoscopy experience or inpatient hospital experience.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.

Skills

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of infection control practices.
