Registered Nurse - CVPCU PRN Seasonal

Seasonal night shift position from 9/20/26 through 4/3/27, 7pm to 7am.

About the Role

As a Registered Nurse in the Cardiovascular PCU, you will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in line with department requirements and state/specialty standards. Collaborating with medical providers and the care team, you will provide personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care while acting as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers. This role follows established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage" to ensure outstanding patient experiences and positive clinical outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient's condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical provider(s), ensuring thorough and timely documentation of care in the patient's medical record.
• Administer prescribed medications, monitor the patient for therapeutic response, and take appropriate action in the event of an unintended response.
• Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests, proactively anticipating patient needs, and resolving them.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the patient's medical condition, treatment plan, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures, ensuring complete understanding by translating complex medical terminology.

Requirements

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (RN) certification required.
• Registered Nurse Texas or compact license required.
• Bachelor’s Degree or Associate Degree in Nursing required.
• 1 year of experience required.
• All seasonal RNs must work a minimum of 72 hours per pay period (every 2 weeks) during the seasonal period.
• Within a close geography, you may be asked to float to another facility with an emergent staffing need.
• Four (4) weekend shifts are required each 4-week schedule period.
• Current Medical City and Healthtrust Workforce Solutions employees are not eligible.

About the Facility

Medical City Fort Worth is a 350+ bed full-service Magnet Designated hospital located in the heart of the medical district. It serves as a tertiary referral center for Tarrant County and many counties within a 90-mile radius. Specialties include cardiac care, neurosciences, oncology, surgical services, orthopedics, kidney transplants, and emergency care. The facility offers three ER locations, including two off-campus ERs in Burleson and White Settlement, and is a designated comprehensive stroke center and Joint Commission chest pain center. As part of the Medical City network, patients have access to medical experts and advanced healthcare innovations across the network.

Pay

$55 per hour.
