Registered Nurse - Critical Care Stepdown (Days)

About the Role

We are seeking a Critical Care Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality, patient-centered care for intermediate-acuity patients transitioning from critical care to Med/Surg.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care using evidence-based practices.
• Perform accurate hand-offs and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Administer medications and monitor complex conditions such as cardiac and respiratory issues.
• Support patient recovery and participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives, huddles, and shared governance activities.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, Diploma, or BSN preferred).
• Current Missouri RN license or compact license.
• Required certification: BLS (American Heart Association).
• Preferred certifications: ACLS, NIHSS, PCCN, or related Stepdown certifications.

• Strong assessment, communication, critical-thinking, and time-management skills.

Professional Growth
