About the Role
Provide high-quality, patient-centered care for intermediate-acuity patients transitioning from critical care to Med/Surg.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care using evidence-based practices.
- Perform accurate hand-offs and bedside shift reports to ensure patient safety.
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practitioners, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Administer medications, monitor complex conditions (cardiac, respiratory, post-ICU), and support recovery.
- Participate in unit huddles, quality improvement initiatives, and shared governance activities.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, Diploma, or BSN preferred).
- Current Missouri RN license or compact license.
- Required certifications: BLS; ACLS, NIHSS, PCCN, or other Stepdown-related certifications preferred.
