Schedule: Full Time | Day Shift (7:00-19:00)

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality care for intermediate-acuity patients transitioning from critical care to Med/Surg level
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care using evidence-based practices
  • Perform accurate hand-offs and bedside shift reporting to maintain patient safety
  • Collaborate with physicians, advanced practitioners, and multidisciplinary partners to optimize patient outcomes
  • Administer medications, monitor complex conditions (cardiac, respiratory, post-ICU), and support recovery
  • Participate in huddles, shared governance activities, and unit-based quality improvement initiatives

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (ADN, Diploma, or BSN); BSN preferred
  • Current Missouri RN license or compact license

Qualifications

  • Required: BLS (American Heart Association)
  • Preferred: ACLS, NIHSS, PCCN, or other Stepdown-related certifications
