Responsibilities

As a Registered Nurse at Garnet Health Medical Center, you will:

• Protect, promote, and optimize health and abilities, prevent illness and injury, alleviate suffering, and advocate for individuals, families, communities, and populations (per ANA, 2010).

Requirements

• Licensure: Active New York State Nursing License in good standing.
• Education: Baccalaureate (preferred), Master’s, or Doctorate Degree in Nursing from an Accredited School of Nursing.
• Certification: American Nurses Association endorsed Certifications or Academy of Medical-Surgical Nurses Certification Preferred (*Based on Certification specialty hours of work requirement).
• Experience: 1-year Critical Care or SDU experience or successful completion of the GHMC ICU Fellowship program.
• Training:
  • ACLS and PALS within 6 months of hire/transfer.
  • MERT Training within 6 months of hire or transfer.
  • CRRT Training within 1 year of hire or transfer (refresher every two years).
  • TNCC required within 1 year for all new hires and transfers.
  • ECCO & ENA Modules required within 9 months or demonstrated competency.
  • Hospital Crisis Intervention Training Course upon hire or transfer and annually thereafter.

Incumbents previously trained within the ICU’s, PCU, CDA 2 West, or ED will continue to float. *Patient population (CTSD patients / day 3 and beyond, CTICU – will not be assigned to CC Floats / will only be assigned to the unit as supportive assignment).

Pay

The compensation range for this role is $56.58 - $62.71 hourly. This range complies with New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements and does not include bonuses, incentive pay, differential pay, or other forms of compensation or benefits. Factors such as location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget, and internal equity may influence the final compensation.
