Registered Nurse Coordinator - Bone Marrow Transplant

Job Summary Provides specialized nursing care for bone marrow transplant patients, collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate all aspects of patient care, including screening, assessment, stem cell collection, and transplant procedures. Establishes rapport with patients, families, and healthcare providers, ensuring complete and accurate documentation for the Bone Marrow Transplant Registry. Maintains compliance with quality management standards and reviews program policies and procedures. Contributes to budget development and acts as a patient advocate with insurance providers. Mentors and educates care teams, promoting professional growth and team development. Ensures quality improvement and control documentation is completed for assigned areas. Works primarily in a clinical setting, adhering to organizational policies and standards. Qualifications & Skills BSN degree and 2 years of RN experience required. Certifications needed include Chemotherapy and Biotherapy (within 3 months of hire) and Oncology Certified Nurse (post-hours completion).
