Registered Nurse - Chemical Dependency

Responsibilities

• Assess patient conditions, develop and implement care plans, document care, and evaluate outcomes.
• Welcome patients and maintain a safe, therapeutic environment by supervising staff.
• Collaborate with departments to facilitate patient admissions, transfers, and discharges, ensuring effective communication.
• Gather and analyze data from patients, families, and healthcare providers to inform treatment plans and discharge needs.
• Participate in department goal-setting, quality improvement, and staff training, including supervising direct care as needed.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and program evaluation.

Qualifications

• Current Illinois Registered Nurse license.
• CPR certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
• CPI certification within 90 days of hire.
• Nursing degree required; psychiatric experience and knowledge of abnormal psychology preferred.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work within budget constraints.
