Responsibilities

  • Provide daily guidance, support staff development, participate in staffing decisions, and maintain quality patient care.
  • Assess patient needs, respond to emergencies, administer medications, and educate patients and families on dialysis and related topics.
  • Supervise equipment use, perform dialysis procedures, and ensure safety protocols are followed.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members, conduct staff meetings, and participate in quality assurance activities.

Qualifications & Skills

  • RN licensure with a minimum of 9 months nursing and 3 months dialysis experience; supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong communication, technical skills, and ability to manage patient care and staff.
  • Ability to operate dialysis equipment safely and adhere to safety and compliance standards.

Additional Duties

  • Aid in staff hiring, training, and special projects.
  • Promote efficient use of supplies and maintain documentation.

Physical & Work Environment

  • Includes computer work, patient interaction, and travel between facilities.
  • Exposure to healthcare environment with infection control precautions.

Supervision

  • Direct oversight of patient care staff and ward clerk.

Education

  • Accredited Nursing program and current state licensure.
