Responsibilities
- Provide daily guidance, support staff development, participate in staffing decisions, and maintain quality patient care.
- Assess patient needs, respond to emergencies, administer medications, and educate patients and families on dialysis and related topics.
- Supervise equipment use, perform dialysis procedures, and ensure safety protocols are followed.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members, conduct staff meetings, and participate in quality assurance activities.
Qualifications & Skills
- RN licensure with a minimum of 9 months nursing and 3 months dialysis experience; supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong communication, technical skills, and ability to manage patient care and staff.
- Ability to operate dialysis equipment safely and adhere to safety and compliance standards.
Additional Duties
- Aid in staff hiring, training, and special projects.
- Promote efficient use of supplies and maintain documentation.
Physical & Work Environment
- Includes computer work, patient interaction, and travel between facilities.
- Exposure to healthcare environment with infection control precautions.
Supervision
- Direct oversight of patient care staff and ward clerk.
Education
- Accredited Nursing program and current state licensure.
